The sugya in Masechet Bava Kamma 99b addresses the case of an expert in his field who messed up, i.e., אומן שקלקל. Do we exempt him and assume that he messed up because of unusual mitigating circumstances, i.e. אונס? Would we apply the same standard to a הדיוט who lacking the experience & expertise should not have taken upon himself a task that is beyond him & therefore he assumes responsibility & liability/
