Appreciating the Beis HaMikdash, the special 'choice' of Binyamin for the Mikdash, and the כיבוד אב of Dama ben Nesina. One of the many aspects of our shiur will address the question: why was the 2nd Mikdash destroyed? We will emphasize two central ethical obligations in Yahadus: disciplining one's mouth, and compassion and brotherly love. The concept of אחדות is essential to Mikdash. But where does kibbud Av fit in to the picture? An alternative title for today's shiur might be: The search for the lost Yashpa stone.
