Description

Finding the appropriate supports and/or placement for a child who is struggling in school is not always easy. Parents and professionals often grapple to identify a course of action. No one wants a child to be burdened with the long term effects of a reading difficulty, memory or language challenges, emotional dysregulation, or behavioral challenges which interfere with a productive school experience. While our community has become more knowledgeable and somewhat more accepting, we still lack the procedures to act swiftly and decisively to put into place the supports necessary to ensure that no time is wasted in accessing the requisite assessments and in streamlining the road to proper intervention.
