For Masechet Bava Kamma 82a-b we will study the Takanos of Ezra with special emphasis on how Ezra changed the nature of Krias HaTorah on Mon & Thurs from what it was before his time. We will introduce the sugya of the special status of Yerushalayim in Halacha with regard to 10 different Dinim. We will study some of Ezra's Takanot vis-a-vis women, such as preparing for Shabbat & for the poor people, preparing for immersion in the Mikve, wearing an item of clothing for Tzniut, guaranteeing an ample & accessible supply of cosmetics & perfumes in the cities of Israel. We will briefly discuss the Takana requiring that a Ba'al Keri e-immerse before the study of Torah.
