How fascinating therefore, that in the 15th Century, one of the most experienced and adept Jewish politicians and statesmen of all time, Don Yitzchak Abrabanel, created a political philosophy which rejects not only monarchy in favour of republican democracy, but even appears to reject political association altogether.
