Parsha:

Description

Using the commentary of the Or HaChaim, we look at his comments on Mishpatim which do not delve into halakhic discussions surrounding the many mitzvot of the parsha. How is the "ama ivriya" a metaphor to the historic experience of the Jewish people? Why are we commanded not to oppress the stranger? Why does the Torah repeat over and over and over that we shouldn't worship idols? What is taking place when the Zekenim/Etzilei Bnei Yisrael "see" God?
