In a survey of the parsha, and using the commentary of Netziv, we explored a few common themes that come up in the parsha - mostly focused in the direction that Yaakov's problems (with Eisav, with Dinah, with his mother and wife passing away) are all somewhat related to his not fulfilling his vow to go to Beit El upon his arrival in Canaan.
