Rabbi Cohen began serving as spiritual leader of Congregation Agudath Sholom in 2005. Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Rabbi Cohen is a graduate of Yeshiva University in New York and its Azrieli Graduate School. Rabbi Cohen began his career in West Orange, NJ and has served in the rabbinate for over twenty years and currently serves as senior Rabbi at Congregation Agudath Sholom in Stamford, CT, the largest modern orthodox synagogue in New England. Rabbi Cohen served as a national Officer of the Rabbinical Council of America and is on the National Council of AIPAC and the board member of the Beth Din of America and the ADL. He published Mining for Gold: Essays on Torah in the Modern World addressing the four questions we are asked in Heaven (http://bookstore.iuniverse.com/Products/SKU-000664880/Mining-for-Gold.aspx) and his next book What Will They Say About You When You're Gone? Seven Principles for Reverse Engineering Your Life" will be published with HCI Publishing for fall 2016 release. He speaks frequently on leading a life of legacy.
