Rav Aaron Soloveichik was the grandson of Reb Chaim Brisker, the son of Rav Moshe Soloveichik who emigrated to the US from Hatslavich in 1929, and the younger brother of Rav Yosef Dov Soloveitchik. Rav Aron was a Rosh Yeshiva in Teferes Yerushalayim with Rav Moshe Feinstein, and then in Yeshivas Rav Chaim Berlin, before accepting a position in Yeshiva University in 1959. In 1966 he moved to Chicago to head the Hebrew Theological College in Skokie Ill. where he was Rosh Yeshiva for 8 years. In 1974 he established Yeshivas Brisk of Chicago, and when Rav Yosef Dov Soloveichik could no longer say shiurim in YU, Rav Aron commuted weekly from Chicago to NY to say shiurim there in addition to Chicago. He passed away on 18 Tishrei 5762.
