Rabbi Shlomo M. Brody is the founding director of the Tikvah Overseas Seminars for Yeshiva and Midrasha Students and teaches at Yeshivat Hakotel. The author of A Guide to the Complex: Contemporary Halakhic Debates (Maggid), he is also a presidential doctoral fellow at Bar Ilan University Law School and a junior research fellow at the Israel Democracy Institute. A columnist for the Jerusalem Post, his essays have also appeared in Mosaic, First Things, Tablet, Jewish Action, The Forward, The Jewish Press, Meorot, Hakirah, Jewish Ideas Daily, Tradition Online, and other publications. A summa cum laude graduate of Harvard University, he received rabbinic ordination from the Israeli Chief Rabbinate and an MA in Jewish philosophy at the Hebrew University.
