Description

The Rambam gives us the Halachah of Counting the Omer in Hilchos Temidim Perek 7, in the context of a discussion of the Korban Ha-Omer. Yet, in the absence of the Korban HaOmer, the Rambam, in contrast to the majority of Rishonim, argues that Sefiras Ha-Omer is still a mitzvah d'oraysa. Wherefore?
