Description

To complete the sugya (48b) that we began: the owner of the courtyard invites one to enter his courtyard with his ox. Does the owner's invitation imply an acceptaince of responsibility for damages? Or does this responsibility require an explicit declaration of acceptance? The sugya will present three resolutions to an apparent contradiction in the Beraisa on this issue. We move on to 49a-b and study the Mishna & the sugya of דמי ולדות. The pregnant woman lost her fetus as a result of an assault of a human being. Do she have rights to collect damages & if so, what can she collect? How do we evaluate דמי ולדות? If the husband dies his heirs inherit this payment. What if he left no heirs? Can she pick up this $? Can she collect דמי שבח ולדות?
