Description

We begin the 6th Perkek of Masechet Bava Matzia 76a: The workers quit in the middle of the day, how much of their wages are they entitled to? Did the employer suffer a monetary loss? We will study the principle: 'their wages are calculated in the least favorable way'. How do we understand the statement of the Mishna "they (the workers) deceived one another"? How did the agent mislead the worker? What was the employer willing to pay? Did the worker rely upon the agent? When does the worker harbor a 'complaint' against the agent? Does the worker have any sort of monetary claim against the agent? These and other questions will be addressed.
