Description

For the Aggadeta of Masechet Bava Batra beginning on Daf 73a-74a, we read about the sea travels of Rabba bar bar Chana. The goal of these stories is חיזוק אמונה to appreciate the wonders of the world created by Hashem. These stories are written in a codified, mysterious formulation which is - for the most part - incomprehensible for us. We can only read these stories and hope that here and there we will derive a percentage of their inner meaning. This Aggadeta, more than others, is esoteric, hardly accessible to us, we may learn about the meaning of certain verses, particularly in the Book of Iyov, but the mystical insights in the symbols of these stories is largely beyond our grasp.
