For Masechet Sanhedrin 63a-b we will study various modes and categories of idol worship and their punishments. Is any respectful act defined as Avoda Zara even if it si the opposite of the normal degrading act vis-a-vis that particular idolatry? What is the nature of the Issur שיתוף? When is it permissible to mention the name of an idol? Would the punishment for idol worship be contingent upon the implementation of an action? What about a verbal declaration "You are my god"?
