Dear Rebbe, I'm confused. I hear regarding the vaccine it is called "pikuach nefesh" and separated between ein bo sakana and yesh bo sakana, and in ein bo sakana, whether to permit it being done al yedei nochri, or if there is a need to have the issue of sakanas eiver... in regards to receiving the covid vaccine on shabbos. But these people are not sick at all - when i got my shot a rav told me refuah shelaima - I said amen but in the back of my mind i thought the correct brocho would be labriut... because the idea is to stay healthy. (and with kovod to that Rav I did not correct him!) That being said - the issue really is not pikuach nefesh. the issue really should be sakanah. not having the vaccine is a sakana that is becoming more prevalent as the strains are becoming more infectious. i would compare it more to someone crossing the street on shabbos and not seeing a car coming - or even someone drowning - the person is still healthy before the car hits him or before they drown - and you as a yid should do whatever you can - even a do a melacha dioraysa. the term sakana is different than pikuach nefesh. So why are all the rabanon applying the halachos of pikuach nefesh in regard to giving the vaccine on shabbos and not halachos of sakana? Thank you very much, I enjoy the Ravs - your - shiurim alot have a meaningful fast and a good Shabbos Pesach Ledereich
